Chicago Draft House
3101 N. Sheffield Ave. (3100N, 1000W)
Chicago, IL 60657
R.I.P. 1995

Now Matilda, the Chicago Draft House lasted about five minutes on the Chicago bar scene. During its brief mortality, the house appealed to a "jockish" crowd by luring them in with 32 beers on tap, darts, pool, TVs, and plenty of neon in the window. For those of you longing for a good beer bar that's actually open, check out Goose Island (the original or the Wrigleyville location), Hop Leaf, Map Room, or Quenchers, just to name a few.
